Andy Skinner, Managing Director
Andy Skinner has been a working journalist for over 30 years and provided PR services to West Midlands businesses since 1988. He ran his own monthly newspaper Business Report for 14 years before selling to a PLC and since 1999 has provided dedicated press and public relations services to professional firms and businesses throughout the UK.
He launched ASAP as a dedicated resource to businesses and the company has since provided press office services to organisations such as the Institute of Directors in the West Midlands, Business Voice West Midlands and the Team Birmingham stand for Birmingham City Council at the annual MIPIM global property conference in Cannes. ASAP's clients include national and international professional services firms as well as regional businesses seeking a higher profile.
John Duckers is a former business editor of The Birmingham Post, who spent 18 years with the paper. He was previously 16 years on the news side of The Press and Journal in Aberdeen, a major regional daily across the north of Scotland, where he won various awards including for coverage of the Piper Alpha oil platform disaster. He joined ASAP in 2008 and is also a freelance media writer for Warwick Manufacturing Group, Midlands Business Insider magazine and others. In addition, he composes a popular business gossip blog which goes to leading industrialists, entrepreneurs and professionals across the region. He was educated at Uppingham School in Rutland and Dundee University where he graduated with an MA in History. He is married with two grown-up children and lives in Moseley.
