Asha’s in Birmingham and Solihull to lay on free banquet for NHS angels after lockdown ends
Asha’s Indian Bar and Restaurant in Birmingham and Asha’s in Solihull will lay on a dedicated evening for NHS staff to enjoy the restaurant’s multi-award winning cuisine “on the house”.
General manager Domnic Norunha said: “Our management team and staff are in awe of the heroic work being carried out by our brave NHS staff, so we thought it would be a great way of saying ‘Thank You’ if we entertained them for one evening, completely free of charge.”
Asha’s group chairman Paul Bassi said: “In conjunction with The Bond Wolfe Charitable Trust, we have supported many good causes throughout the West Midlands community and we feel that now, more than ever, this should be extended to NHS staff.
“In light of this, our board, management team and staff would be honoured to give something back to show how thankful we are to the courageous men and women on the front line in the battle against COVID-19.
Domnic Norunha said: “When Asha’s reopens, we will have a dedicated evening, on a night to be confirmed, for NHS staff to enjoy our multi-award-winning cuisine and hospitality that will be completely free of charge as our way of saying thank you.
“Full details will be shared via our social media platforms and email newsletter as soon as we are in a position to finalise our plans.
“In the meantime, where possible, please stay home, save lives and protect the NHS.”
