Bosses at Solihull Moors Football Club are really thinking outside the box when it comes to hybrid working.

The National League side which plays at the SportNation.bet Stadium on Damson Parkway, Solihull, has appointed commercial property consultants Siddall Jones to help let their corporate hospitality boxes to businesses – on weekdays.

Ed Siddall-Jones, managing director of Siddall Jones, said: “The idea is to create a business community and allow smaller businesses and start-ups to take advantage of a well-positioned office with car parking.

“The self-contained carpeted office space includes furniture and WiFi, and electric heating.

“And, unusually for office space, comes with its own external balcony with seating overlooking the pitch.”

The space is available as a single unit of 190 sq ft, or double unit of 380 sq ft.

Solihull Moors’ CEO-Commercial Anne-Marie Eden said: “A football club stadium can be a very empty asset most of the time, other than match days. We only have 22 first team league match days in a season, plus some cup games.

“But the facilities are available Monday to Friday and we have a great location and 250 parking spaces standing idle quite a lot of the time.”

She said that Solihull Moors’ chairman, businessman Darryl Eales, was also founder and chairman of San Francisco-based co-working office space company Werqwise.

“Using the ideas he has helped develop in the States, we want to maximise the use of our space, including the big hospitality suite as a communal area for co-working and relaxed business use.

“Business owners and the self-employed can literally step into our space, plug in and go!”
