Four new jobs at expanding Worcestershire estate agency

A Worcestershire estate agency has created four jobs as the business continues its rapid growth in 2020.

The new staff have joined Nicol & Co’s Worcester base which has been developed into the company’s headquarters by extending its current Barbourne Road offices into a linked top floor space in St Georges Square.

The expansion means Nicol & Co’s staff numbers in Worcester have grown by 25% from 15 to 19, with 14 staff at the company’s Droitwich office taking the total workforce to 33.

Matt Nicol, managing director at Nicol & Co, said: “We’re delighted to have appointed four new staff who bring a great mixture of skills, experience and enthusiasm to the team.

“This coincides with Worcester becoming our headquarters, with the new St Georges Square space hosting our client relationship centre, central functions like finance and HR, and a film studio for market updates and interviews with staff and clients.”

Molly Maguire, appointed as team leader in the client relationship centre, previously worked at the Andrew Grant estate agency in Worcester.

Molly, aged 23 from Kidderminster, said: “I joined to progress my career and because I’d heard lots of positive things about how Nicol & Co is rooted in the community and offers a personal, client-centred service.”

Evie Bennett, appointed as a sales progressor, was previously a legal secretary at Shakespeare Martineau in Solihull.

Evie, aged 24 from Barnt Green, said: “My new job involves liaising with solicitors, and my insight from Shakespeare Martineau means I know what I’m chasing and what’s due next, hopefully leading to transactions that progress a lot quicker

“I’d heard good things about this family-run business where I will know everyone I work with, meeting clients face-to-face every day, making it more personal and rewarding.”

Jack Whittington, appointed as a digital marketing assistant, was previously a content manager at the Media Drum press agency in Birmingham.

Jack, aged 24 from Halesowen, who has a degree in Film and Creative Writing from the University of Surrey, said: “I was drawn to Nicol & Co by the job role, which includes producing content and videos for social media channels.

“This is perfect for me, especially the encouragement I’m getting in the new position from a company that acts as a community, all nurturing each other’s work.”

Also joining Nicol & Co is Rebecca Brown, appointed as a client relationship specialist. Rebecca, aged 24 and from Bromsgrove, previously worked in recruitment with the Executive Network Group.

The new jobs follow a year of significant progress for Nicol & Co, named as one of the top 3% of estate agents in the country in a leading Best Estate Agent Guide. The company is also planning to open its third office in Malvern later this year.
