Midland cathedral city has huge commercial property for sale in next Bond Wolfe auction
A spacious commercial property in a busy Midland cathedral city that would be suitable for development, subject to planning, is appearing in Bond Wolfe’s first auction of the year.
The three-storey building at 14 Commercial Road, in the centre of Hereford, extends to around 2,116 sq ft and will have a guide price* of £275,000+ at the livestreamed auction on Thursday 9 February.
James Mattin, managing director agency at Bond Wolfe, explained that the property included ground floor commercial premises of approximately 1,076 sq ft, with office accommodation to the first and second floors.
Mr Mattin said: “This substantial freehold commercial property is considered suitable for a variety of alternative retail and commercial uses, subject to planning permission.
“The upper floors also provide an opportunity for residential conversion, subject to consent, or could be continued as offices.
“The property occupies a prominent position on the A465 Commercial Road in Hereford city centre, feeding directly off the A438 and with excellent access to all local amenities and transport links.
“Commercial Road itself is mainly made up of a mix of retail outlets and takeaways, and it is an excellent location for businesses.”
The cathedral city of Hereford lies on the River Wye, approximately 16 miles east of the border with Wales, 24 miles south-west of Worcester and 23 miles north-west of Gloucester.
With a population of more than 53,000 it is by far the largest settlement in Herefordshire and is known chiefly as a trading centre for the wider agricultural and rural area.
Products from Hereford include cider, beer, leather goods, nickel alloys, poultry, chemicals and sausage rolls, as well as the famous Hereford breed of cattle.
The Commercial Road property, marketed with joint agent GJS Dillon, will be among scores of properties appearing in Bond Wolfe’s next auction which is due to start at 9am on Thursday 9 February.
The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.
