The founder and boss of a Worcestershire home care business has praised commercial property agency John Truslove for helping to secure her new headquarters.

Deborah Harrison set up Kingfisher Care in 2017 after more than two decades working in the care sector, and recent growth saw her looking for new premises.

James Haynes, an apprentice surveyor with John Truslove, helped the company to secure a five-year lease on 816sq ft of space at 3A Hepworth Park on Brook Street, in the Lakeside area of Redditch.

Ms Harrison explained that Kingfisher Care has 50-plus people providing care at home for people aged 65 and over across the Redditch and Bromsgrove area, with eight in the office and the others out and about looking after clients.

She said: “We work with several care organisations, including Worcestershire County Council, as well as our private clients. Some of our clients have disabilities and several of them are into their 100s.

“The quality of our care has seen us securing more work and that growth prompted our move to these superb new premises, which will provide a great base as we continue to expand.

“I was looking for somewhere that would be more secure for the office team and with a separate room that could be used to hold meetings.

“James from John Truslove really listened to what we needed and the first place he showed me around was just perfect – everything I was looking for.

“They are really nice offices with car parking and offering a good level of security for staff, control over the heating in our own set of offices and less expensive than where we had been previously.

“James was wonderful: he took on board everything we asked for, was great to work with and then delivered.

“The landlord has been so helpful too. The process went incredibly smoothly and we are delighted with our new home.”

Mr Haynes said: “Deborah was very clear about what she needed for her business and I immediately realised Hepworth Park would work for her.

“It is a terrace of seven newly-built lofty warehouse and industrial units, with Unit 3 split to create a first floor office suite with an open-plan office, meeting room and kitchenette.

“It is the ideal fit of tenant, premises and landlord and will help Deborah take her business to the next level.”
