New land director tasked with feeding Elevate Property Group pipeline

Elevate Property Group, the independent Birmingham-based residential developer, has recruited a new land director to help drive the company’s expansion.

Sam Meeten has joined the business to create a pipeline of sites for Elevate’s next generation of projects.

He has worked in property and land acquisition in the Birmingham and West Midlands area for nearly 20 years, most recently for regional estate agent John Shepherd as associate land director.

Prior to that he gained experience with Stirling Ackroyd and Wolf’s, which was acquired by John Shepherd.

His relationship with Elevate Property Group began when he sold the developer the site in Camden Street which is now being developed as Heaton House.

This will provide 56 residential properties, comprising 14 townhouses, 42 apartments, 4,300 sq ft of commercial space and Heaton House itself, which is being reimagined as a 3,455 sq ft four bedroom dwelling.

He said: “I have watched with interest the growth of the group, not just in the immediate Birmingham area but also in the Midlands, Kent, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

“My brief is to help establish Elevate as the pre-eminent developer of premium residential property in central Birmingham and the wider Midlands region.

High-profile developments throughout the country include Victoria Point (Ashford), Alban House (Hereford), Trent Bridge Quays (Nottingham), Princes Gate (Solihull), Assay Lofts (Birmingham), Sheldon Court (Sheldon, Birmingham), and Cliveland Street (Birmingham).

This year Elevate has started work in Birmingham on 56 residential properties at Heaton House Lofts, and the Priory House development of 79 luxury apartments in the former Birmingham forensic science laboratories.

Elevate has also applied for detailed planning permission for 84 apartments at 51-61 Price Street in Birmingham’s Gun Quarter. Work on 258 apartments in Liversage Street in Derby is scheduled to start this autumn.
