Mr Bassi, who is chief executive officer of the AIM-listed REIT, Real Estate Investors plc, and chairman of Bond Wolfe in the West Midlands, this year published “Brick by Brick – Success in Business and Life” which swiftly entered the business bestsellers list for 2019 and has been nominated for the Business Book Awards 2020 by Bloomsbury Publishing.

He established The Bond Wolfe Charitable Trust which supports many causes across the West Midlands and is a co-founder and supporter of Sandwell Valley School which supports many pupils who have missed part of their education or come to the UK without English as their first language.
He said: “Doing what you can to help within your community is part of the Sikh philosophy and whilst you do not do this to seek recognition, it is extremely humbling and gratifying to be acknowledged by your peers and colleagues in our faith and in business.”
