Siddall Jones named Most Active Agent in the West Midlands in 2020
One of the West Midlands’ leading independent commercial property agents has beaten off competition from major international and regional firms to be named Most Active Agent in 2020.
Siddall Jones, which has offices in Birmingham and Dudley, was launched by Ed Siddall-Jones in 2012 and has grown steadily from one office to two and from one member of staff to six.
The firm beat off competition from established rivals including Bulleys, Avison Young, Harris Lamb and Bromwich Hardy.
The award for the most deals in the year August 2019 to August 2020 follows on from the Radius Data Exchange survey produced in conjunction with EG, the commercial property market magazine.
In 2019, Siddall Jones was named Most Active Single Branch Agent by number of deals done by CoStar and was a Top Five finalist in the overall CoStar awards.
Ed Siddall-Jones said: “This is a fantastic result for a small but very hard working team in a year which has thrown Brexit confusion, a General Election and Coronavirus pandemic at us.
“When lockdown came it obviously dented market activity, but at Siddall Jones we took the decision to get our heads down and work all the harder.”
During the past six months, Siddall Jones has concluded a number of major deals including the sale of a prime residential site with full planning permission for 44 apartments and 32 parking spaces with gated access at 50-60 Northwood Street in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter for £1.8 million.
And the million pound plus sale of the Grade II-listed, 18,000 sq ft, former Derwent Works on the corner of Constitution Hill and Henrietta Street, for an undisclosed sum.
Siddall Jones also sold the former Birmingham Car Auctions site on Moseley Road to Joseph Chamberlain College in an off-market deal. The 1.7 acre site was sold on behalf of MJ & K Properties for £1,475,000 and will be used by Joseph Chamberlain College for educational purposes.
Ed added: “Our success stems from the fact that we are a multi-disciplined business, and we provide ourselves in delivering the highest standard of client care.
“The award is the result of the application of our knowledge and experience of local and regional markets to a wide ranging clientele from sole traders to multi-nationals.”
