A new headquarters in Redditch is providing the platform for a major programme of growth for recruitment firm Swift Temps.

Managing director Damian Lee worked with commercial property agents John Truslove to secure more than 2,000 sq ft of office space at Brooklands on the Moons Moat industrial estate – giving it four times the amount of space of its previous base.

Additional staff have been recruited including an expanded permanent recruitment team and a new legal recruitment team as Swift Temps has grown to nine branches across the Midlands and the North.

It is also moving its Oldbury team into a bigger new Birmingham office and has just opened a new branch in  Yorkshire in addition to sites in Preston, Telford, Deeside, St Helens and a bigger new office in Manchester.

Mr Lee, who used his family home in Redditch as security when he set up Swift Temps in 2016, said: “There is tremendous growth at the moment. Companies are all competing to find the best new staff, while people are seizing the opportunity to secure better jobs and advance their careers.

“We have industrial, manufacturing, logistics, commercial and administrative services clients as well as one of the country’s biggest supermarket chains. We are placing thousands of people every year into both temporary and permanent roles, and we have launched a new service recruiting for the legal sector.

“One of our biggest selling points is that we save companies huge amounts of time in terms of recruitment. We deal with all the applicants, so the companies only need to interview the best candidates; we sort the wheat from the chaff.

“It was clear we needed a much bigger headquarters to service that growth and found Unit 4 at Brooklands. It was ideal and we are already filling it up. Ben Truslove, at John Truslove, was excellent throughout the negotiations with the landlord. He worked with real speed, enabling us to move in as quickly as possible. It was a flawless experience.”

Ben Truslove, joint managing director at commercial property agents John Truslove, helped Swift Temps secure a five-year lease with landlord Alliance Global Logistics on 2,391 sq ft of ground floor office space at 4 Brooklands.
