Tinkers Lock duplex apartment proposal for Trent Bridge Quays development
The company behind the development of luxury apartments and townhouses at Trent Bridge Quays and former Muller Yard Meadow Lane in Nottingham has revealed its proposals for the building on Tinkers Lock where it meets the River Trent.
Elevate Property Group’s decision has been boosted by strong demand for the 95 townhouses and apartments at Trent Bridge Quays in which the first phase is already 60% sold and scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Managing director Steve Dodd said that the luxury penthouses in Phase I at Trent Bridge Quays had been snapped up, and there was a waiting list for penthouse apartment on Phase II.
“We’ve come through a tough few weeks, but life has to go on, and we are seeing that the great location and inherent quality of Trent Bridge Quays and Meadow Lane is proving very attractive to buyers.
“That’s given us the confidence to progress our proposals for Tinkers Lock.”
The original proposals were for a commercial use such as offices, retail or a café, but with a full re-opening of venues such as cafes, pubs and restaurants still in question the short-to-medium term prospects of finding a tenant look in doubt.
Mr Dodd said: “Our new proposals for Tinkers Lock will create three beautiful riverfront duplex apartments, and they also help resolve a longstanding issue that has been in negotiation for some time.”
Tinkers Lock is on the junction of Nottingham & Beeston Canal and the River Trent.
He explained: “We have been involved in lengthy discussions with the Canal & River Trust and Nottingham City Council on the preferred location for a mobile crane that from time to time may be required on the canals edge for maintenance and we believe we have finally achieved consensus with this proposal.”
Trent Bridge Quays, currently under construction, will include a range of 95 apartments and three storey townhouses, all with terraces either to front or rear. Phase I prices start from £192,500 for a one bedroom apartment and from £345,000 for the townhouses. Prices for the penthouses are available on application.
A final phase on the former Muller Yard Meadow Lane will provide a further 40 apartments and 18 townhouses.
If planning permission is granted, the whole development will be completed by these three amazing duplex apartments on the riverfront.
Mr Dodd said: “Elevate has joined the waterside regeneration in Nottingham and our three phases on the River Trent will provide some of the best new homes available in Nottingham over the next 18 months.”
Nottinghamshire contractor nmcn is back on site working under government guidelines with social distancing in place.
Nottingham agents FHP Waterside Living have been appointed to market the homes.
Steve Parker, director of FHP, said: “Trent Bridge Quays, the neighbouring Meadow Lane and the proposed Tinkers Lock apartments are bringing much needed quality housing to Nottingham, and their proximity to West Bridgford and Trent Bridge, combined with easy access to the city centre, makes a very compelling offer.”
